Charleston Visitor Center
The Charleston Visitor Center is an old train station converted into a bus depot. As the first place many see upon entering Charleston, the goal was to create a welcoming environment while showcasing everything the city has to offer. A large video wall is in the center of the space, and activity tables with tactile interactives are interspersed throughout. Along the walls are large environmental graphics and brochure racks. A series of custom wheeled carts can be manned by docents to assist guests during peak times, and stored when not in use. Though covered, the depot has no doors so the exhibit was designed to withstand South Carolina humidity.
Sam worked with the graphic identity designed by the Visitor Center to create environmental graphics and custom activity tabletops. She also designed the Welcome to Charleston light box display.
