Modjeska Monteith Simkins House
Modjeska Monteith Simkins was a key figure in the civil rights movement. Her home was a gathering place for activists, and has been turned into a museum after her death. The main audience is middle and high school groups on docent-led tours.
Sam developed the visual identity and graphic hierarchy and designed all graphics within the exhibit. This includes wall panels, rails, murals, vinyl lettering, a floor graphic, and custom scrim. In a nod to the original home, the wall panel backers include recreations of the original wallpaper.
